Who operates this website
This website is operated by SyncX Esports, referred to in this policy as SyncX, we, or us. SyncX Esports is an online esports platform operated by individuals.
This Privacy Policy explains how SyncX handles personal information when you use syncxesports.live, create an account, register for a tournament or scrim, make a payment, or contact support.
Information we collect
We collect only the information needed to operate accounts, competitions, payments, support, and security.
A valid phone number is required to complete a paid tournament or scrim entry. It is saved to your account so you do not have to re-enter it, and is used to confirm payments, coordinate matches, and contact you about refunds.
- Account information: username, email address, phone number, avatar, Google or Discord account identifier, authentication provider, and account role.
- Tournament and scrim information: in-game name, character or user ID, team name, team members, assigned slot, game, mode, and match results.
- Payment and refund information: entry amount, payment status, UTR or transaction reference, uploaded payment screenshot, ticket history, and any payout UPI ID voluntarily provided in a refund request.
- Support and fair-play information: messages, dispute descriptions, screenshots, match recordings, scoreboard evidence, and referee decisions.
- Security information: login timestamps, IP address, browser and device information, and account or match history used to prevent abuse.
How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- Create and secure your SyncX account and keep you signed in.
- Register teams, assign slots, arrange opponents, distribute room credentials, and administer matches.
- Verify entry payments, maintain ticket and transaction records, calculate prizes, process approved refunds, and resolve disputes.
- Contact you about your entry, payment, or refund and coordinate matches, including by phone where you have provided a number.
- Publish eligible leaderboard and tournament results, enforce match rules, investigate payment or anti-cheat concerns, and protect participants.
- Respond to support requests, communicate material policy or match updates, and maintain the security and reliability of the service.
Cookies and local storage
SyncX uses essential browser technologies to keep you signed in, remember your account, protect private ticket pages, and preserve temporary roster or ticket interface state. Session cookies such as SyncX_session and SyncX_admin_session are used for authentication. Browser local storage may hold a temporary user-session cache, a saved squad roster, and ticket read status on your device.
These technologies are required for core site functions and are not used for advertising cookies. You can clear local storage or cookies in your browser, but doing so may sign you out or remove temporary roster and ticket state from your device.
Third-party services
We do not sell or rent personal information. We share the minimum information required when you choose a connected service or when a provider assists us with operations:
Google or Discord may provide login identity under their own privacy terms. Authentication infrastructure may be provided by services such as Firebase or Supabase. MongoDB stores SyncX account, tournament, ticket, and payment-reference records. Cloudinary may store uploaded payment screenshots when configured. Hosting, security, and communications providers may process technical or support data to deliver the service. Payments completed through a UPI application are processed by that provider; SyncX receives the information shown in the payment confirmation or proof that you submit, not your UPI PIN, OTP, card PIN, or banking password.
Data retention
Account, tournament, ticket, leaderboard, and support records are retained while your account and relevant competition history remain active, and for as long as reasonably needed to operate the service, resolve disputes, maintain financial records, prevent abuse, and meet legal or accounting obligations.
Payment screenshots, transaction references, refund records, login history, and rule-enforcement evidence may be retained longer where necessary for verification, fraud prevention, accounting, or legal compliance. Data that must be retained for legal reasons may not be deleted immediately upon an erasure request.
Security
SyncX uses access controls, authenticated sessions, server-side validation, restricted administrator access, and secure service providers to protect information. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Participants should use a unique password or account, protect their sign-in accounts, avoid sharing payment proofs or UPI details publicly, and report suspicious activity promptly.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information; withdraw consent for optional processing; object to or restrict certain uses; and receive a summary of the information SyncX holds about you. To request deletion of your personal information, open a SyncX Discord support ticket or contact the support email; requests must identify the account involved. After verifying the request, SyncX may delete your personal information, though necessary transaction and tournament records may be retained where required or reasonably necessary.
Some records may be retained where required for fraud prevention, dispute resolution, accounting, or legal compliance. Where a request cannot be completed, SyncX will explain the reason and the available grievance or escalation route.
Children and policy updates
Players under 18 must use SyncX with the knowledge and, where required by the payment rules, supervision or consent of a parent or legal guardian. SyncX does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children without appropriate authorization.
This policy may be updated when data practices or site functions change. The current version will remain available on this page, and material changes will be identified by an updated effective date.
